What is the 7-Hour book?
The 7-Hour book is a system that allows any entrepreneur to write their own professionally-published book while spending only 7 hours of their time on it.
It helps entrepreneurs and others in business to share their stories and the ultimate way for them to share their insights is to publish a book. It finally provides
entrepreneurs the recognition they deserve.
How to decide if writing a book is the best tactic in your marketing strategy?
Always start asking yourself the why questions. Consider all the other marketing strategies used by many- podcast, a YouTube channel, or Facebook ads and weigh on them and decide if publishing a book is the best marketing strategy that will work for you. Once you have decided and stirred from the other marketing channels, all the idea will just come to the surface and just believe in yourself that you are unique and has knowledge, insights, and perspectives that others don't have.
Factors considered when deciding that publishing a book is the best marketing channel
Figuring out the "why" of publishing a book. Figuring out the things you want to achieve through the book and will the book be helpful on achieving these things. For example, you want to reach a certain market who is more traditional based in terms of seeking information, then the book is the best tool to educate them with your business.
Determine one marketing strategy in creating a book
Bring in marketing partners to your book and having them provide some of the content, or giving them a shout out in your content. In that way, they will not only provide you with a content, but they also then have an interest in promoting the book and marketing the book when it's out.
What does it mean when we are using our book for self defense?
It means it is safeguarding and defending your time from a situation where a person if you provided them with your book ahead of time, you might have been able to educate them and help them to see for themselves whether or not it made sense to continue talking to you. It helps people get to know more about you, what you do and decide if connecting with you will help them.
How is the seven hour book different and what makes it the best solution among others?
It strips out time as an excuse to not get a book done. It will only require seven one hour sessions from the client which could be scheduled anytime.
It comes from a marketing standpoint. The content of the book and how it is written comes from a business context that will draw your target market to your business.
The 7-Hour book process includes structuring, guided interviews, and book creation
Going over the book and segment each chapter of the book in a call. It is a 100% collaborative approach done in an interview style. Part of it is discussing ideas, asking questions that would essentially yield answers from the client's point of view and our writers take notes from these discussion and create a book from there.

> What is Joseph Campbell's Hero Journey Roadmap and how do you relate it to websites?
- it is patterned from Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces literary piece about the journey of a hero in world myths. Yoko Co applies this concept to the journey of their clients as they work to leverage their web presence.
> What is the first big step in the Hero Journey concept?
- Self-Transformation. You start within you. Changing the way you project who you are to the world will change the way people behave towards you. It leads to a greater impact and creates a ripple effect across the world.
> How does Yoko Co help organizations? What makes them stand out among others?
- Yoko Co helps organizations increase the effect that they have with the customers, clients, patients through improving their website presence. Through word of mouth and referrals from the clients that they have worked with, Yoko Co remains to deliver great results and helped a lot of businesses across the world.
> What are the common problems that the organizations are experiencing on their website?
- not getting steady influx of communication or interaction on our websites that it used to have before. It may be from leads, interested parties for partnerships etc. That is the biggest factor to consider as opportunity of a breakthrough to rebrand or rename your website.
> How do you decide on what steps to take in helping a business improve their website and web presence?
Applying the best practices we have to get things started and do the tracking across the whole business
- For most of the Yoko Co clients, they start with a Full Funnel Report that answers questions like:
- What are social, search impressions, and views of the website look like?
- Are they translated into traffic or do they visit the website?
- Do these people (traffic) engage in the website? Does the traffic convert in any level?
- How do these traffic convert into sales qualified leads?
- How did they go through the sales process?
- What did the people purchase, or depending on the classification of a clienthow did they become members or engaged partners?
>How long does the process start to take effect?
There is no specific timeline. It varies from one organization to another. There should be enough improvement on traffic and relevant data and interaction to consider a significant level of change.
> Do you have a specific company that stands out in terms of results after working with them?
- Yoko Co aims to work exclusively with organizations that have a passion or purpose beyond just profit. Recent favorite is Andes Amazon Fund. It conserves the biodiversity, ecosystems, and environmental health of the Andes and Amazon.
> Do you recommend for businesses to embody a purpose beyond profit?
Yes. There's a big difference between organizations authentically concerned, and wanting to create a big impact in the world and organizations who just do it for marketing. We have worked with organizations who aspire to make some change but don't know exactly know what that is in relation to their mission. There's a lot of opportunities on how to create a big impact and make some change in the world but it should something the organization should authentically believe, support, and embody through their mission and values. It helps that Yoko Co has worked with different types of organizations because in one way or another, we can repurpose and borrow information to help our clients see a bigger picture and help them get into that purpose and at the same time improve their web presence.

709: Time Control: Perspective, Patience, Mindset and Belief with Sasha Laghonh

1) Make sure that you plan your business and your project.
- You need to decide who are decision makers in the business that you are running. Remember that it is YOUR BUSINESS that you are running and it is you who invested on resources to make your plans come to life. You don't need too many people as decision makers in the business. As the owner of the business, make sure to take lead the team and be the decision maker.
2) NEEDS Vs WANTS
You need to be able to distinguish needs from wants. Know the difference among needs, resources and wants. Don't pattern your business based on what you see on other people's businesses, trying to keep up with the trends, or just being fancy. Make sure whatever you invest on is something that is useful and purposeful in your business and in that way you will stand out among other businesses.
3) YOUR TIME IS PRECIOUS
- Be mindful of your time that includes deciding who you spend your time with, what you are doing with your time, where you invest your time in. Always consider your priorities for the week or month and set out goals. Be careful who seek you for in terms of guidance and information because they could either make or break you. Do not go into the habit of pleasing everybody because in reality you can never please everyone. "Say no more than yes"
4) GOOD RESULTS TAKE TIME
- Focus and stay committed to your goal. Your strategies and goals should be long term but ensure that you remain the attitude of being flexible in your mindset and decision making process. It is important that you accept that you can't control everything. But remember you are accountable for your own business so you can control the decisions you make with regards to the people that you bring in and engage with and the clients that you entertain. Always be open to learning, be coachable and open to new ideas. Otherwise, you're not gonna last long.
5) RESEARCH
- Take enough time to do your research and digest it. Do not rush on your decisions. Read, talk to people who have done something similar, go to consultations and seminars. Process and digest all the information you have and decide whether to apply, discard, or save them for later.
6) BET ON YOURSELF
- Believe on yourself that you can do it. Initially, do not think so much of the competition but focus more on the opportunities that you could work with to make your business grow. Have a right business mindset but most importantly set your BELIEFS. All your business decisions should be anchored to your BELIEFS. In that way, you will be able to sustain your identity or your own business. Rely on yourself the most because the only person who's going to help you is YOU. You don't need the validation of other people.
7) REMOVE THE NOISES
- Remove people who are taking away your opportunity for your full potential to come full circle. Most of the time they are just noises who dictate your life with their "advices and tips" but in reality they are just distractions to a greater mission. But you also have to maintain the balance and keep those people who really matter in your life. Do not compromise your relationship with your friends and family who have been there with you from the very beginning. These people who truly care about you only want to see you succeed. Do not forget where you came from and how you got there.
8) DON'T TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED
- Do not be complacent and settle for anything less. You should always strive harder to be better than your best. Your mindset should be- You're only as good as your last big sale or you're only as good as your last successful project. Your biggest competition is yourself. Another point, do not compromise and lose important relationships. Nurture your relationships with people especially those who have helped you to be in the place you are right now. Give importance to people who share the same goal and took part of a greater mission. Lastly, do not take results for granted and be consistent with your goals and mission. And always remain Humble while you are achieving your dreams!
9) KEEP LEARNING
- Make sure your team is teachable. Each individual on your team has their own expertise but make sure that they are also open to learn from others and embrace working interdepently with every one else. This will allow your team to increase their skills and interests.
10) ADHERE TO YOUR PRINCIPLES
- Adhere to your principles throughout your business journey. Don't end up compromising your principles and beliefs just for a short term benefit. Do not make money as your only goal. Money is only a material thing.
"You want to be known as the entrepreneur that on a good day or bad day, whether it is your critic or your ally or your advocate, when they think of you, no matter how they feel, they will still speak well of you because they know that you don't compromise your principles"
"And when people look you in the eye, you want to be known for your character. And when people know you for your character, they can also assess how you do business."

- What you need to know when you start creating a website?
- Does the type of platform in hosting a course matters?
- Can you share great functions, plug-ins, features of WordPress that are not present on other platforms?
- What is Learning Manage System (LMS) and what are the fun things you can do with it?
- What are the considerations when you decide to build a course using WordPress?
- What is Caching?
What you need to know when you start creating a website? When starting a website, you need to decide and know your foundations. Start asking questions like:
- Is the content I am creating in demand, useful, and purposeful?
- Will this content solve a real-life problem?
- Will I earn money from creating this content?
Does the type of platform in hosting a course matter?
If you intend to build a real business, it is best to build that on WordPress. WordPress is easy and intuitive to use. Managing content compared to other SAS Platforms is easier and simpler. It is also extremely customizable. On the otherhand, other SAS Platforms that you subscribe monthly are also great to use and they tend to market themselves as the "easy solution" but in reality they are much more complicated and complex than the WordPress. You are spending much more money on these platforms but functionalities and features are very limited depending on your package, and it's not easy to migrate out from these systems.
Can you share great functions, plug-ins, features of WordPress that are not present on other platforms?
There are two areas where WordPress excels: First, the development of page builders such as Gutenberg, Elementor, and Beaver Builder with drag and drop feature.
Second, Learning management system which gives you a lot of new features like having badges, take quizzes, tracking student's progress etc.
What is Learning Manage System (LMS) and what are the fun things you can do with it?
LMS increases the features and functions of a simple course. It helps you to generate good income. You can download extra materials like pdfs, quizzes, games, certificates, badges, etc.
What are the considerations when you decide to build a course using WordPress?
Do not buy cheap hosting mobile for your initial hosting package. Buying from hosting provider like blue host for $3 a month will not help you start-up your business on building content on wordpress. It will give you a terrible experience. Initially, you need to invest on choosing your hosting mobile and look into getting those around $20, $30, $35 for your initial hosting package on your membership site. Reliable providers like WP- Tonic and WP-Engine among many others will help your website run fast, it can handle the traffic, and allows multiple members to use the website at the same time.
What is Caching?
It is a layer that allows to store up data so that future requests for that data are served up faster than is possible by accessing the data’s primary storage location.
To learn more about WordPress, go to WP-Tonic and listen to our podcast about WordPress, latest features, plug-ins, page builders, learning management systems that you can get. Other services include: e-learning materials like blogs and training videos for entrepreneurs who want to build substantial online businesses, providing hosting and all the software included that starts at $35 a month, semi-custom and full-custom build-outs, they also ensure that your plug-ins up-to-date and your websites are secured.

What is Omni Channel Marketing?
It is an ecommerce marketing automation built for growing ecommerce businesses. Through Omni Channel Marketing, customers can reach out in the way they prefer. They can choose email , SMS messages, web push notifications, Facebook messenger, Whatsapp or combine them into the workflow.
What are the advantages of different channels in one platform?
First, The main advantage is having a single, centralized, and synchronized customer profile. It prevents customers receiving irrelevant and repetitive messages in different platforms because it is synchronized. With this tool, it follows a sequence/flow when communicating with customers.
For example: we start communicating with through an email.
If Robert does ignore our email then we maybe send that Facebook Messenger message then maybe we send a push notification and finally send text message. Second, providing customers with options to choose what channel they are most comfortable using.
What are the results of relative results of companies using Omni Channel Marketing?
- With Omni Channel Marketing, companies begin to have 90% customer retention. Customers are coming back to check the website twice as often because it was convenient for them to choose the type of channel they want to be communicated. Another great thing is the conversion of customers from a different channel to using Omni Channel. It has greatly increased by 250%.
What are your best practices in terms of customer segmentation?
- VIP list- they are treated the best customers. They get the best deals and offers, and organize offline events for them.
- New Prospected customers- As marketers, we maintain a list of those who are subscribers but have not purchased anything on the website yet. We are aggressive in using different channels in retargeting campaigns. For example, we send customers welcome back campaigns through email like offer discount or special offers for specific customer or groups.
- Subscribers who used to be buyers but are no longer active for 12 months or so- they are removed from the subscribers list. Not worth marketing anymore. They may have been back with a new email or phone number.
Fun ideas of marketing strategies or practices?
- Creating personal videos for customers
- Postcards or personal replies
- Loyalty Programs
- Customer Support
- Upselling Videos- When a customer purchases an item, you send an automated campaign of another product that is relevant to what the customer is purchasing. For example, if a customer purchases a phone, before the order is dispatched, the customer receives an automated campaign of a wireless charger. Mention discounts and all other perks of having them ordered in one cart.
What is the process of deciding what product to upsell to customers?
- Products that fit the best with the item purchased by the customer
- Automated recommendations of what product sold the most
What are the resources that can help customers when they sign up and begin using the platform?
Tutorial videos, webinars, 24/7 online customer support, Account managers who facilitate the on-boarding of new clients, help them set-up and navigate through the tool
What are the additional features of the tool that we will watch out for?
- time optimizations
- improvements in automation
- comprehensive business analytics
What are the secret to success tips that you can share to the listeners?
For beginners, start gradually. Instead of trying to set up properly, just gradually improve and start to utilize one feature after another. For those who have experiences with a lot of other tools, the best recommendation is to segment your customers and broaden the channel options. Don't stop improving and experiment on the new features that are always coming out. It helps you get ahead of the competition.

- A businessman whose business is on the verge of falling. He was panicking and experiencing insomnia thinking about losing his business, his wife, and his lifestyle. He was starting to get obese which could have lead to stroke or heart attack.
In what ways did you help your client?
Helped to stay present in the moment. Gave him technique called Yoga Nidra- it is a yoga sleep for 20 minutes that is equivalent to 3 to 4 hours deep restorative sleep. Made him recordings and he would listen to them every single night and that will help him to sleep. - We get stress and it weakens our immune system
- It undermines our ability to think clearly and remember things
How do you deal with your own personal challenges and struggles in life?
- Don't allow your mind to control everything and not letting your emotions to take over. Take a pause and see how you react on things and see the reality as it is and not be so much guided with preconditioning reactions that are accumulated throughout your experiences in life. Always be present in the moment.
What is the first step into wellness especially for busy entrepreneurs?
- There are a lot of ways. These are called processes or practice interrupters that will interrupt your pattern. It takes 21 to 90 days to create new patterns. My book called Escape from Anxiety has over 100 strategies that can interrupt those patterns. One simplest way but actually not found in the book is to do a 10 count breathing exercise. This exercise will allow you to change your focus, interrupt the feeling and the whole sensory reactions that you're having at the moment.
What is the book, Escape from Anxiety all about?
It has bite sized strategies that people can use and there's over 100 of them in the book that can supercharged your life. The second part of the book helps you develop your own kind of strategic protocol that is sustainable and works for you because we're all a little different in terms of what we respond to.

If you want respect be more respectful.
I believe that we can manifest whatever we want but it starts within us and it's cultivating that."

Using Video in Online Marketing
Creating videos that are interesting, engaging, and watchable with proven direct response marketing strategies.
What is the secret to Video Marketing? Understanding the direct response marketing and principles. It is not only about making videos that are shown on the internet or television but these videos should generate more revenue, sell more products, grow your business and create a good reputation brand.
4 steps in Creating a Good Marketing Video (effective for television and e-commerce channels such as Amazon)
- Introduce your Product
- Demonstrate your Product
- Focus more on the Benefits of the product rather than its features (if possible include product reviews and testimonials)
- Always have a call to action: Instructing viewers to go to their website and check out their products and BUY them!
These steps are similar to the AIDA (Awareness, Interest, Desire and Action) Marketing Model.
2 Negative Practices of most Companies
- Most companies forget that the most powerful marketing tool is the "Word of Mouth" of customers or product testimonials in other words. Companies fail to ask for product reviews of the direct consumers
- Most companies fail to include a call to action in their marketing videos. For example, they don't tell their viewers to visit their website, check out their products or any stimulants that will generate product revenue.
A book called Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini, is a great book that talks about 6 persuasion principles that will guide Companies in creating marketing videos. One principle that is very helpful is Social Proof- a priniciple wherein we used the action of others to decide proper behavior for ourselves. In the concept of Product reviews and testimonies in E-commerce such as Amazon, for example, most people are gonna buy the product of 100 reviews over a product with 2 reviews. It is very vital to get product reviews and testimonials to appeal to more people.
Video Persuasion, The Book
One of the things this book offers is 3 ways to "hook" the viewer and keep them engaged. One way is to get straight to the point and deliver answers or solutions as quick as possible.
2 points to be successful in creating marketing videos:
- Understand the Human Psychology- how people behave and react to things. Human behavior doesn't really change unlike the technologies and other marketing platforms.
- Create videos with User Generated Content.
An example of User Generated Content: the GoPro camera marketing in television and online platforms. Every GoPro ad started with a GoPro logo so people know right away that it is a GoPro ad and the content are any forms of videos that were by users on online platforms such as social media (snowboarding, scubadivng etc) and offer saying like "Win One Everything They Make" at the end of the video.
This marketing strategy creates a ripple effect in terms of viewer responses:
- They watch the commercial
- They go the website and register for the contest (the company creates database of email marketing)
- They go the website, watch other videos and share them to their friends
- The more traditional direct respone, they go to the website and purchase a product which will generate REVENUE!
Decisions & Strategies
How do you arrive at the decisions or strategies that you make? How do you come up with the ideas?
- Make an educated guess based on understanding the demographics that you are marketing to and what they respond to
- Make an AD Test
- Reach out to the customer base and most companies have database of customer emails. Set up a Testimonial Day and invite at least 15 people for interview about the Why they bought the product, How did they hear about the product, what they like and don't like about the product, how will they describe the product to their friends. This will allow you to know what motivates people to buy the product which in effect let you create ads that are in response to real customer reviews
- Record the video for marketing purposes.
- check out his website and download some of his free ebooks and watch his three most engaging types of online videos. For companies with e-commerce websites, in order to capture viewers, consider 3 types of online videos and upload it on your website
- Create an introduction video that has parts: Your background, how you started, and most importantly about the PRODUCT and what make it stand out among other similar products.
- Create a demonstration video not only showing a tutorial on how to use it but also points out the benefits to the end user.
- Video Testimonials.

What is the methodology of Open Playbook to execute changes for effective leadership in a business or organzation?
There are three pillars within the Open Playbook methods:
- Know yourself - know yourself and understand what you could offer in the company or organization. Assess your skills, talents, temperaments and ask yourself what do you offer that nobody else can.
- Know the kind of playbook you want to create- it is a foundation of building the change plan and its processes, and determining the people who will executive it.By this, you will have a clearer picture what you need and how to develop the change.
- Give away the playbook- it is important to determine who you giveaway the playbook to because they are the people who you want to build.
In relation to the first pillar, what do people usually come up or discover about their skills and what are the important ones?
Most of the time, it leads to finding out your temperaments, learning styles, your strengths and weaknesses etc.
Larry Dodd's inherent strength
Making change. More specifically building people and seeing people's strength in every situation. He belivies that the key to success is getting the right people in the right place, with the right attitude at the right time.
Number one mistake that most organizations or businesses do over and over again
Lack of self knowledge and the lack of an orientation to develop people based on trust. By building a foundation of trust and confidence, you find the people to develop and help people to see the potential that they really have to offer.
What is a Playbook and what is in it?
Playbook can start with a document and the concept begins with developing. It demonstrates the change you want to make, the step-by-step process of achieving change, and the effect of change in the industry or business. As a leader, developing a playbook means developing people who will make the process better than it could be imagined. The idea is for people to unleash their knowledge about the business and acknowledge and use their skills to take the business further.
Is there a timeline in the process of developing a playbook?
It is not so much of a destination but a journey. It is a path. It is something that allows us to continually think about how we improve things, how we make them better, how we build people, who we build, and why. It becomes a way that you do your business. It is changing the heartbeat of that organization and the way that people think about how they do their job, how they interact with each other, how they view change, and how they initiate change
What is the benefit of using and developing a Playbook?
It is the constant innovation. Developing a playbook helps tremendously in the business scale since it is a competitive environment that needs a culture that supports constant innovation, continuous improvement, and creative thinking.
Hardest parts in developing a playbook
Coming up with the title of the playbook, the steps you will be taking, figuring out your strengths and abilities and how to advance them, and of course trusting the process.
Larry Dodd's journey of change
He began being frustrated that he was unhappy and made others around him unhappy too. He couldn't continue to work under the same circumstances and so he sought a counselor to help with his career.
He took the MBTI Test which really enlightened him and he began seing a clearer picture. The biggest break of his career followed within months. And that was the major league baseball team opportunity in which he was really charged along with the rest of the management team and the acquisition with leading change in a very high profile environment.
What is the importance of the third pillar, giving away the playbook, in the process of developing one?
When you think about giving away your playbook, you're really giving away your experience. You're giving away what you have to offer that nobody else can offer. And it's important to realize that you have to be careful and who you're developing and choose the right people who will benefit from that knowledge.
Playbook's Ideal Client
Organizations or businesses who need major change initiative, and they realize that it's going to require a cultural change with their organizations. It always starts at the top. It starts with the leaders
Key Quote: "When you have an open playbook and you lead with an open playbook, and you're developing yourself and others, and you're getting giving away and building the right people, the advancement of people in your organization and people you're investing in is absolutely staggering."
